This was a full tour day for us. We met the bus at the pier at 8:15am and returned at dusk. It was a great tour as you can see from the pictures below. Roman, our guide, provided an excellent discourse on our itinerary. We saw so much in just one day. The highlight for Bob was to attend and participate in a Bar Mitzvah in the ancient Synagogue Quarter of Safed in the mountains above the Sea of Galilee. We were included in the candy-throwing at the Bar Mitzvah boy. Then on to Kibbutz Kfar Haruv where we had a nice lunch and got a guided tour by Nikki, a beautiful and pregnant resident, who has spent her entire life in this Kibbutz. We then visited the Yardenit baptismal site in the River Jordan at the southern tip of the Galilee. Jeri did her own interpretation of a baptismal (pictures below).
